On 27th April 2012, JACHs were invited to join Ashfield District Council’s at their ‘Best of Ashfield Awards’ Ceremony at the Portland College. To our delight and amazement we were awarded ‘Best Community Group – Rural Area’ recognizing JACH’s hard work in the community. Chair of the Council, May Barsby said, “It gives me great pleasure to be part of this event which celebrates the very best of Ashfield. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has made the event a success and thank you to the winners for making such a special contribution to the District.” The judging panel was made up of Sharon Severn of Rolls Royce, Ashley Booker CHAD News Editor and Council Leader John Knight and Councillor May Barsby.
