Jacksdale Area Culture & Heritage would like to thank the Heritage Lottery Fund for financing the design, creation and hosting of this new look website for Jacksdale and Westwood, Notts, which we hope will not only tell the story of our past but also give site visitors an insight into life in our villages today. Also thanks go to the Local Heritage Initiative who funded our first website back in 2001, which was enormously popular and ran successfully for over ten years.
Thanks also go to our current hard working committee members, news distributors and volunteers but also to those who have served this community in the past, such as Hilda and Cllr. Edward Holmes who had the vision to form BADJER back in 1999, Alison Buckman our first news editor and the previous chair of BADJER, Tina Moult and also JACHs vice-chair, Jeff North who started the campaign to return our missing soldier to the war memorial.
We would also like to acknowledge the support given by Cllrs Liz Mays and Gail Turner and by our local heritage officer Denis Hill of Ashfield District Council.
But most of all we would like to whole heartedly thank the businesses, community groups and residents who time after time, respond to our appeals for help, support our events and make all our hard work so worthwhile.
If we all do a little we can achieve a lot.
A huge thank you to Redcar Design for creating this stunning website and to Kuki Ventures for website development and hosting.
