Always in trouble, always in strife

struggling along day after day.

with all the bills we have to pay

The thing is money that’s what we are after

no time for love-for smiles -or laughter

the money comes the money goes

year after year we go on counting our woes

We must have this -we must have that

no time to sit and cosily chat.

We are tired--the time draws steadily near

time is the thing we now have to fear.

So lets stop-count our fortunes-many

stop this grasping for every penny.

Let’s learn to live-a simple life

to rise above this trouble and strife

let’s learn to give-help the needy

learn to share-not be greedy

For if we give -we must receive

this is a law of life decreed

our life is created -in this way

in how we think from day to day

for what we give -be it bad or good

it comes back double-as it should

So knowing now -this ancient rule

lets use it wisely-as a tool

Let’s show our love -our understanding

by always giving - not demanding

we will find-after a while

our faces wear a happy smile

We’ll grow taller-day by day

our worries will just fade away

and the world will be - a better place

for the future human race.
