The corner of Selston Road & Main Road with The Portland Arms on the right.  Occasion unknown. But very likely part of the crowd who assembled for the unveiling of the memorial in July 1921

 

The Pigeon Club Outside the Portland Arms Public House on Selston Road, Jacksdale with licensee Maggie Thorpe. The building was later known as  - The Treble 20 and also as Deano's Bar.

2005 - Awaiting demolition to make way for town houses

 

2005 - Arrival of the Pit Wheel with The Portland Arms (Deano's Bar) in the background having suffered some vandalism whilst awaiting demolition.

 

 

 

 

2006 - Reduced to a pile of rubble.

 

Two bricks were salvaged from the site ~ one was sent to Australia to Mike Rushby who lived in The Portland Arms during WW2 and the other brick was sent to his sister Ann in the U.S.A.
